The webpage and book “Sweden Underground” is a collaborative between Rock Engineering Research Foundation (BeFo), Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket), Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Company (SKB), Swedish Rock Engineering Association and Partners.

In Sweden, there has been a long development which has resulted in sophisticated engineering techniques to build underground structures, thereby making efficient use of the resource beneath our feet. Our expertise and experience is now in demand all over the world.

Sweden Underground is of interest for a broad international and Swedish target groups comprising planners, engineers, researchers and students.

It describes the most challenging and innovative Swedish underground projects and more general aspects of underground construction.
